Credit cards have been operating the same way since the 1990’s without much change to their operations, user-experience, benefits, experiences and value added services. Despite all that black cards offered by banks are extremely out of reach and up until now only available to the ultra-high net worth individual.
Premium cards today focus purely on extrinsic cookie-cutter member benefits and monetary rewards with a slow impersonal concierge that often fails to impress. Current premium cards have failed to address higher intrinsic growth needs and wants of the new generation. We believe there is a gap with current solutions in serving a new and younger generation of digital-first cardholders who have many different preferences than older cardholders.

Victor Santos
Co-Founder & CEO
Victor is a serial fintech entrepreneur and investor. Previously he worked at Google before founding Airfox / banQi, a neobank in Brazil that was later acquired. He was recognized by Forbes 30 under 30 in 2018 and MIT Technology Review 35 under 35 LATAM Innovators in 2019. He is a UC Berkeley graduate and currently at The Wharton School University of Pennsylvania.
Douglas Lopes
Co-Founder & COO
Doug spent time at Monitor Group, Bain & Co and large multinational companies in Brazil. Most recently, he helped grow Airfox / banQi to millions of users and assisted with the company’s acquisition. He is a MBA grad from MIT Sloan and Mechanical Engineer from USP in Brazil.
Tiago Passinato
CTO
Prior to Onyx, Tiago was the Principal Architect of Airfox / banQi, helping to implement a highly scalable banking platform. He has over 20 years of experience as a Full Stack Software Engineer, working for big companies in the US and Latin America.
